Effectiveness Of Employee Empowerment

Adequacy Of Employee Empowerment Presentation: In such a serious situation, the associations need to consistently give quality items, better administrations and need to get advancement to remain the business and produce benefits. To lead such exercises, effective and engaged representatives are basic (Bowen and Lawer, 1992; Fulford and Enz, 1995; Bowen and Lawler, 1995). Before, the authority was not appointed to the representatives and it fixated on the chiefs who were answerable for settling on all the choices in light of a legitimate concern for the associations. This had constrained the inventiveness to appear since the representatives couldn't communicate or share their thoughts. Strengthening in the ongoing years has been considered as the most significant factor that adds to the accomplishment of the association. The imaginative vitality and possibilities of representatives benefits the investors, providers and clients also (Gandz 1990; Appelbaum, Hã ©bert, Leroux, 1999). Strengthening implies appointment of dynamic power when there is a need to make a move which is significant for both the administrators and representatives. Following are the principle purposes behind rehearsing strengthening in the association: It gives quick answers for business issues It gives development chances to representatives It helps in bringing down hierarchical expense Representatives profit by strengthening since they have greater obligation in their occupations. Representative strengthening expands the degree of worker inclusion and along these lines makes a more profound feeling of fulfillment and more elevated levels of inspiration. The style of the board is changing as the directors are currently being considered as the mentor, counselors or facilitators. The dynamic has been moved down to the most reduced degree of the association. As indicated by Rob and Margret earthy colored, strengthening isnt simply an issue of appointing work position to the activity holders. It implies that everybody can make a move to improve their work, either in close to home or hierarchical terms. Rather than the conventional organization, with its accentuation on control, normalization and acquiescence, Brown-favored strengthening can just flourish in the freed encompass of advancement, adaptability, duty, zero imperfections and persistent improvement. Viability of Employee Empowerment: Representative Empowerment must be compelling when the executives unmistakably characterizes the feasible objectives and responsibility norms. The administration ought to furnish workers with the assets, for example, time, cash, preparing and important and real data which is bolstered by the upper and lower the board. The advantages of strengthening can be considerable for the association however it doesnt come without costs. In the event that this methodology isn't appropriately actualized, it can cause numerous issues, for example, terrible choices taken by the workers who are not all around prepared, clash emerging between colleagues decreasing the group creativity and execution of the representatives (Henderson and Lee; Davenport ) and high preparing expenses to effectively work in the enabled condition. There are likewise various advantages that are related with strengthening, for example, upgraded imagination bringing about expanded execution, making cross utilitarian groups of assorted work bunch for sharing and creating inventive thoughts and expanded client care quality by letting them taking care of the client issues all alone without sitting tight for the administrative endorsement (Shrednick et al., [26]). Henceforth we can expect that strengthening is an expertise and can be educated. Viable supervisory groups must have a solid handle on the most recent business methods just as a comprehension of the significance of human potential and high confidence. Strengthening is an all out promise to working together in a beneficial and positive way. The acclaimed analyst John R. Attracted proposed Seven Steps to Empowerment. As indicated by him strengthening can be accomplished by making champions, including individuals in arranging the change, making group pioneers, instructing the workforce, changing the emotionally supportive network, rehearsing accord dynamic and including individuals in key and strategic arranging. A great deal of examination has been directed on strengthening in the most recent decade to completely comprehend its effect on the exhibition of workers and how it impacts the association overall. An association must comprehend its similarity with the association framework since its impact fluctuates from association to association. The methodology is reliant on the hierarchical structure, its framework, its way of life, talented workforce and the demeanor of top administration toward the change. Before the associations move to the strengthening approach, they should fundamentally investigate what strengthening essentially is and how its not quite the same as the customary methodology. Strengthening energizes data offering to bleeding edge laborers, rewards dependent on authoritative execution, worker preparing, and representative contribution in the board dynamic (Bowen and Lawler). A large portion of the investigates show that the strengthening must be sustained and upheld by different components which trigger its impact and delivers positive outcomes for the association, for example, Autonomy, inventiveness, level of correspondence among administrators and representatives, competency and high confidence. Speculations and practices of strengthening: There has been an absence of hypothetical and exact work being done on practices of strengthening. The term strengthening being utilized in the business associations isn't obviously characterized since it is hard to comprehend what the author is alluding to when he utilizes the term strengthening. Comprehensively there are two fundamental methodologies that are broadly used to comprehend the idea. Following Conger and Kanungo(1988) and Thomas and Velthouse (1990), spreitzer (1992) alludes to these as a mental and social points of view. Mental viewpoint on representative strengthening: The principal way to deal with study strengthening centers around the idea that strengthening relies upon the impression of workers. On the off chance that they accept that they are engaged, at that point they will in general work with more self-sufficiency ( Spreitzer 1992). Conger and Kanungo(1988), and Thomas and Velthouse(1990) and spreitzer (1992) suggest that a representative is mentally enabled when (a) he/she discovers importance in his/her job contribution (b) feels effectual with his/her capacity and ability to perform (c ) has a feeling of assurance to accomplish an ideal result with his/her job and (d) accepts that he/she has authority over wanted results meaning they affect the enormous condition. The social viewpoint of strengthening: The subsequent methodology centers around the idea that how sharing of intensity is influenced by the hierarchical structures and its societies. It manages the authoritative structure and culture that it ought to be planned so that makes a situation to encourage the strengthening of its individuals (Bowen and Lawler 1992, Byham and Cox 1998, Jaffe and Scott 1991). Aside from these methodologies, various speculations on strengthening were introduced by various scholars having inverse view focuses. A few scholars contend that there ought to be a generally uniform comprehension of strengthening and they were in the kindness of actualizing normalized programs (Rumelt 1974; Denhardt 1984; Wallace 1992; Balk, 1996). Actually, different scholars were of the view that strengthening is independently, logically and fluidly characterized (Zimmerman 1995; Quinn and Spreitzer 1997; Foster-Fishman et al. 1998). These scientists believe that there exists a wide scope of strengthening fluctuating from individual to individual even in a similar work setting, albeit both the perspectives were agreeable to strengthening. Every perspective depends on a similar presumption that workers esteem strengthening and by practicing strengthening, they can give better results, expanded proficiency and execution, expanded employment fulfillment, and steady moral conduct. Targets and importance of study: A great deal of applied exploration has been done on strengthening yet there is a need of considering the impact of these 5 factors and get an increasingly generalizable outcome. The fundamental reason for this examination is to investigate the connection between these factors (for example Independence, imagination, level of correspondence among supervisors and workers, competency and high confidence) and strengthening of bleeding edge representatives of Mobilink Company in Islamabad. We will at that point further explore the effect of strengthening on representative execution. In spite of the fact that these connections have been investigated in the Western condition, we will examine these connections in the Asian condition to investigate if the outcomes vary in any capacity or the speculation we have made shows the positive outcomes. Following are the principle destinations of this examination: To comprehend the center ideas of Empowerment and execution To distinguish the factors and examine the connection between these factors and representative strengthening To investigate the general effect of strengthening on the presentation of Mobilink representatives. Issue explanation The issue explanation of our exploration paper is to contemplate the effect of strengthening being sustained by different factors, for example, Autonomy, innovativeness, level of correspondence among supervisors and representatives, competency and high confidence on the presentation of Mobilink workers. Audit OF RELATED LITERATURE Sanjay Menon and Clarkson (2001) have attempted to disclose the mental way to deal with representative strengthening in this article. It was created dependent on the primary that the mental experience underlies sentiments of strengthening. This article expands existing points of view of strengthening by coordinating the engaging impact of esteemed objectives, for example, those gave by transformational authority. Notwithstanding the two customary features of impression of command over the workplace and the view of self adequacy or capability, internalizatio

Things Fall Apart Novel Analysis Essay Example for Free

Things Fall Apart Novel Analysis Essay 1. Title: The title of the novel is Things Fall Apart. The title gives anticipating subtleties of the book. Things self-destructing is a typical topic through the whole novel. Toward the start, Okonkwo is the one of the most well known in his town since he tossed The Cat in wrestling. However, toward the end Okonkwo submits the most exceedingly awful disfavor conceivable, he murders himself. The title likewise portrays what befalls the clans religion. As Western Civilization colonizes the African clans, the Africans culture reduces. Before long numerous Africans have left their own religion and divine beings to become Christians. A large number of the Africans lose their own qualities and start to esteem the traditions of Western culture. The title is additionally straightforward and strange. Different books titles are typically an item or saying from the book, however Things Fall Apart is rarely discussed or raised in the novel. The peruser is compelled to think about what self-destructs or what this title has to do with the book. Things Fall Apart is fundamentally the focal point of the story. Achebe took the title of his book from The Second Coming (wr. 1919; bar. 1921), by William Butler Yeats (1865-1939; Irish). The sonnet is fundamentally the same as Okonkwos life and it bodes well that Achebe would utilize the line Things self-destruct; the middle can't hold; (Yeat 3). Okonkwo is excessively high in influence and riches and he cannot hold those things for eternity. He starts to lose everything that he has endeavored to have. He initially loses Ikemefuna and gets discouraged and furious, and afterward he gets banished to another town subsequent to executing a man on mishap. Nwoye leaves him after to turn into an individual from the congregation and in the wake of returning to Umuofia, he slaughters a delegate for the Missionary and executes himself out of dread. As it says in the sonnet, Things self-destruct; the middle can't hold; Okonkwo cannot hold perpetually, so Things Fall Apart. 2. True to life Sketch: Chinua Achebe or, Albert Chinualumogu Achebe, was conceived November sixteenth, 1930 in Ogidi, Nigeria. His dad, Isaiah, was a Protestant educator in an evangelist school. Chinua was raised strict which most likely gave him the possibility of the white men changing over the Towns numerous religions. Achebe went to University in Ibadan to 1953 and got a B.A. in English from the University of London. Initially, Achebe considered Medicine however it turned out to be excessively hard and he changed to English. In the event that Achebe had not changed to studying English, we would most likely not have his artistic works. A companion later persuaded him to encourage English and the school he educated at was based ashore where local people accepted the spirits were antagonistic. This is the manner by which Achebe considered the possibility of the Evil Forest from Things Fall Apart. Things self-destruct was distributed in 1958. The tale was affected by Achebes early life, including the situations of religion and culture move in Africa. His first book was a moment achievement and was even transformed into a play. Numerous writers don't turn into a fruitful, celebrated essayist on their first, second or even third book, Achebe did. He wedded Christie Okoli and had four youngsters together as he kept on composing books. Different books incorporate No Longer quiet (1960), Arrow of God (1966) and Anthills of the Savanna (1987). On Achebes sixtieth birthday celebration, he was in a fender bender and his legs are currently incapacitated. Achebe is presently 79 years of age and educating at Bard College in New York. Chinua Achebe has gotten one of the most compelling scholars in Africa. His books have gotten acknowledged in Western Culture without his composing being impacted with the patterns of western culture. Achebe will be one of the great African journalists for eternity. 3. Subjects: A significant topic in Things Fall Apart is things self-destruct. As recently talked separated, one of the significant clashes with Okonkwos life is everything around is self-destructing. Okonkwo was unmistakably cut for extraordinary things. He was as yet youthful yet he had won distinction as the best grappler in the nine towns. He was a well off rancher and had two horse shelters loaded with sweet potatoes, and had quite recently hitched his third wife.(Achebe 8) This is taken from the primary section of the book. Okonkwos life couldn't beat that; he had the fruitful homestead, spouses and youngsters however as his years progress, he loses a great deal of that riches. By the last part of the novel, Okonkwo has lost his originally conceived child Nwoye, his religion, and his town. Okonkwo has even ended it all, a demonstration viewed as a cursed thing in his town; he can't be appropriately covered. The topic of things self-destructing reoccurs all through the whole boo k. Another subject in Things Fall Apart is the issue of Western colonization. During Okonkwos banish, bits of gossip start to spread of these white individuals on iron ponies and the annihilation they caused in another town. At long last white individuals go to different towns to manufacture places of worship and attempt to get others to follow their peculiar religion. Western colonization is has its upsides and downsides. For instance, without colonization, a few people wouldnt have the option to appreciate the solaces we have today. However, Western colonization likewise annihilates ethnic societies. In the novel, numerous individuals start to follow this untouchable religion which isolates the town into old and new culture. This division makes a partition between the individuals and causes a great deal of hostility between the two sides. Okonkwo loses his child to the Christian religion and he feels like Nwoye is a broker to him and his town. The issue of Western colonization starts in Chapter 15 and proceeds as far as possible of the novel. Manliness is an essential topic for the fundamental character. Okonkwo continually discusses manliness and that it is so critical to be manly. To him, something is either female or manly, and on the off chance that it ladylike he doesn't do it. This stooping misogynist mentality influences his associations with individuals as well. He doesn't care to be related with anybody somewhat viewed as delicate. This topic effectively means our reality as well. Numerous men believe things to be excessively feminine and won't be associated with these exercises. Men are either excessively pleased or not happy with themselves to break out of the exemplary manly generalization. Okonkwo has this equivalent issue and he must do manly things or, more than likely he feels like a lady (which is certainly not a terrible thing). His manly character is answerable for a significant number of his activities in the novel. We see this subject return continually all through the novel. 4. Story Style: The book is written in third individual. The storyteller doesn't appear to be completely constrained or completely omniscient either. They never clarify what is happening inside a characters head however they know things that somebody with a constrained view would not know. A case of this is in this statement, He woke up once in the center of the night and his psyche returned to the previous three days without causing him to feel uncomfortable (Achebe 75) The storyteller comprehends what is in Okonkwos mind yet doesnt mention to the crowd what hes words are in his brain. This shows the storyteller either is great at getting on a people groups feelings and activities (constrained) or realizes what is in a characters mind yet doesnt share it with the peruser (omniscient). The account style adds to the perusing on the grounds that the consistent portending and accidental future makes the peruser be encompassed into this remote world. Each page makes the peruser wonder what else will happen to Okonkwo and what will happen to his future? The third individual detail causes the peruser to feel like they are viewing the story from above. This Narrative style adds a divine resembling feel to the book and gives us portrayals to make a film of the book in our brain. 5. Principle Characters: Okonkwo, the focal character, tall, ragged eyebrows, lean and strolls discreetly and has a brisk temper. Okonkwo is in the story since it is his life that self-destructs. Nwoye, Okonkwos child who is fundamentally the same as Okonkwos father, he jumps at the chance to play, recount to people stories and be wed. He is the one that causes Okonkwos stressing, Okonkwo is continually worried that Nwoye won't take care of business as is he. Ikemefuna, a kid from a neighboring town is given to Okonkwo to deal with. Ikemefuna turns into a piece of Okonkwos group; he tries sincerely and shows the characteristics of a genuine man. His manliness comes off on Nwoye which causes Okonkwo to turn out to be significantly fonder of him. When Okonkwo participates in Ikemefunas murder, Nwoyes relationship changes with his dad and it makes him become Christian later on. Ikemefuna isn't in the whole novel yet he should be viewed as a primary character since his demise is the start of the descending winding for Okonkwo. Mr. Earthy colored is one of the main Christian ministers to go to the Ibo Villages. His is a pleasant man, extremely Christian-like. He helps convert a considerable lot of the residents. Nwoye is with him now in the evangelist and has left his father to turn out to be a piece of the Church. Minor Characters: Unoka, Okonkwos Father who is apathetic and an indebted person. His difficulties cause Okonkwo to turn out to be so work driven and manly. Ezinma, Okonkwos little girl, is additionally the lone offspring of Ekwefi. Okonkwo frequently wishes Ezinma was a man. Ekwefi, Ezinmas mother is continually stressed over losing her lone youngster since she has had unnatural birth cycle a considerable lot of times. The bond among her and Ezinma is solid and she treats Ezinma with uncommon nourishments like eggs that are intended for unique events. She is the second spouse of Okonkwo. Priestess or Chielo, the Oracle of the Hills and Caves is around a great deal yet as two unique individuals. During the day she is around the town as Chielo and is one of the ordinary ladies. She goes to the market and occasions in the town however around evening time she turns into the Oracle of the Hills and Caves and its like she is taken over by another force. She showed Ekwefi a thing or two about being excessively close with her youngster and she is additionally an agent for the Gods. Reverend James Smith, extremely mean and exacting substitution for Mr. Earthy colored. He causes a lot of despondency all through the town and causes numerous issues with the individuals o

spring notes

spring notes spring verb 1. move or jump suddenly or rapidly upward or forward 2. originate or arise from noun 1. the season after winter and before summer, in which vegetation begins to appear, in the northern hemisphere from March to May and in the southern hemisphere from September to November 2. a resilient device, typically a helical metal coil, that can be pressed or pulled but returns to its former shape when released, used chiefly to exert constant tension or absorb movement In the midst of some version of the thesis struggle described in Chris Petersons powerful and beautiful Marathon post*, I question whether I am in fact a resilient device, whether I will gracefully complete the rapid upward or forward jump through graduation. I wrote to a friend (oversentimentally as alwaysthats me! No limit!) yesterday that spring is a tease. Its never as warm as it looks and our calendars strain under the weight of obligation. Spring is short, thoughjust a moment between winter and summerand toward the end, when the season comes into its own, we will be hit suddenly, full force, by the beauty and promise. Today was the first really warm day. I didnt wear a sweater (in retrospect, could have done with a long sleeve shirt instead of my sisters Tin-Tin t-shirt with the arms cut off, but when light comes in my window I wake up optimistic) and I ate my breakfast on the back porch. I had class at Harvard, the only school in the area that doesnt take Patriots Day off. I sat with Eden on the grass and she slept off some stress in the sun. This time of the semester is stressful for everyone. For me, its a plodding, self-paced kind of stress, because my work is mostly independent. I spend too much time deciding where to work and going there, when I should just be working. I like working in coffee shops, but not paying three dollars for coffee; I like working in the library, but it was closed today. Im full of excuses. And today it was almost too beautiful to work. The magnolia buds are balled-up pink fists shaking toward the sky, threatening to bloom. A spring can be pressed or pulled but returns to its former shape when released. I do not want to return to my former shape. I have changed in the past four years, mostly for the better, and Im a little afraid to leave. I know I wont un-grow but Im still apprehensive about leaving this place that has changed me so much. Im not attached to the place, but Im attached to the people, and the intellectual energy, and the endless spring of opportunity. There is also something about being in school, where all your work is on your own becoming, that I think Ill miss. I am resolved to enjoy it as much as I can this last month. I am so grateful for all of this. Also grateful for: Maria Popovas profile on the astronomer Vera Rubin, who confirmed the existence of dark matter despite the obstacles she faced as a woman in science in the 20th century. Bookstores, libraries, and books in general, especially what is not yours is not yours by Helen Oyeyemi and As Consciousness is Harnessed to Flesh from the journals of Susan Sontag (bummer that all the Pulitzer winners outside of journalism announced today were men, though) Spring break at home in Santa Fe, evidenced below, and made even better by the visit of Harini S. 16, who took the pictures with me in them. We ate huevos rancheros, visited the House of Eternal Return, hiked, ate more huevos rancheros, chilled out in las montaas. *fact: I have lines from this post copied down on sticky notes and stuck to my desk.

Teenage Pregnancy Essay - 3300 Words

Teenage Pregnancy (Essay Sample) Content: Teenage PregnancyName Institution Teenage PregnancyIntroductionOver decennium of years, teenage pregnancy has been rampant among the natives of different states. There is a clear line of demarcation on the massive effects that come along due to teenage pregnancy. Many teenagers have lingered over the same issue while others indulge in the same thing due to peer influence. Other teenagers have indulged into prostitution for money owing to the levels of poverty that also could cause teenage pregnancy. Regardless of the fact, that a few of them have used prostitution to put bread and butter on their tables, this does not surpass the power of reason, logic and autonomy.Teenage pregnancy is a shame and lowers the moral standards and esteem of the teenager involved. This leads to despair due to the guilt that accompany them. Further, leaves the teenager hopeless, could result in school drop outs and when these thoughts often mature leads to suicide. Apart from lowering the moral standards, it also leads to the enormous spread of dangerous epidemics such as HIV/AIDS, Ebola among other many diseases. This leads to the tremendous increase of the people living with the virus. Marvellous beyond expression is the effects of this dangerous conditions. Ranging from economic drawback, enormous loss of lives, family break-ups among others.Teen pregnancy brings significant socio-economic costs considering immediate and prolonged impacts. Research shows that in 2011, healthy costs attributed to teen pregnancy and childbirth amounted to $9.4 billion in the United States. There was lower educational performance and income amidst the teen mothers. It is evident that teen pregnancy is the main contributor to the high rate of girl school drop outs. Such teenagers will be faced with multiple health problems, unemployment, delayed education, growing up in poverty among others. The research paper illuminates on ways to prevent teenage pregnancy and the dropout rate of te enagers who become pregnant.Literature ReviewThe rates of drop out amidst teenagers show that pregnancy tops the list in causing teens to drop out of school prior completion. A teenage has an unplanned pregnancy particularly when still in school brings on the table difficult life choices. These young mothers commence a journey of struggles from a very tender age. Financial dents and economic insecurity are the struggles that they succumb. Research indicates that around 70 percent of all students that experience early school dropout are subject to teen pregnancy. Another factor that contributes to teen drop outs is high poverty. Pregnant teens from marginalized backgrounds have a higher probability of dropping out while pregnant (Pregnant teen help, 2010).Approximately, one million students from high schools become pregnant annually. These means out of 1000 students; 22 get pregnant yearly. In the allotted four years in high school, one out of fourteen girls will not complete school. Further, one-third will drop out as a result of teen pregnancy. In addition, only half of the pregnant teen drop outs have a source of income from employment. Evidently, they could be earning meagre salaries, which puts a dent in their economic outlook (Pregnant teen help, 2010).Pregnant teens face a lot of pressure that may serve as a reason to cause school dropouts. The enormous side effects of pregnancy are too much for a teenager in school. Dealing with nausea, everyday fatigue, many visits to the washrooms, unbelievable appetite, mood swings, morning sickness and other effects that come along with pregnancy is weighty to handle both school and the pregnancy (Pregnant teen help, 2010).Further, any teenage pregnancy could be assumed to be accidental. Therefore, there is so much insecurity as the body changes appearance. Several things could be haunting the teenager. What will friends, teachers, parents and relatives receive the news? What about the man responsible, will he accep t the pregnancy or deny? Could be the teenager is not even aware of the one in charge of the pregnancy because she has been engaged with multiple partners (Farber, 2013).Wait until reality dawns, and the pregnancy is showing and everybody is talking about it. Stigmatization is what follows primarily in school. The peers, teachers and administrators will apparently judge the pregnant teen negatively. This is associated with decayed morals so probably no one wants to be associated with the victim (Robin, et al., 2010).In addition, there could be inadequate support to stay in school. Parents will be disappointed, and some go to an extent of disowning the pregnant teen. These will mean no more school because resources to fund the schooling are cut. After the pregnant teen delivers, she may lack someone to take care of the baby. This means she has to be there hence no school. In addition, taking care of the baby is very expensive so if the parents are not supporting her the only option is to drop out of school to find a source of income (Coyle, et al., 2011).Teenage pregnancy is lethal; therefore prevention measures have to be put in place to put a stop or mitigate this issue. First is teen abstinence that has been repeated severally over the past years. If only teens upheld abstinence, the whole menace of teen pregnancy would be ended. However, others believe that no matter how extensive the education about abstinence could be, teens will have sex anyway (Teen abstinence, 2011).Focusing on the pros and cons of teenage sex is the most efficient way of imparting education regarding abstinence. A program that will take the teens through both the advantages and the disadvantages of teen sex and help them see that the disadvantages outweigh the advantages. A mere lesson of sex is wrong will not be helpful since teenagers are curious and may want further details of why is it bad. However, if they are made to make the decision themselves and assert that teen sex will only lead to pitfalls then that is the most impactful education (Teen abstinence, 2011).Statistics from teen sex statistics (Centres for Disease Control) show that more teens are against sex and other related activities. Many points out that the reason behind the hefty number of teens is saying no to sex attributes to the teaching of abstinence being taught in several schools across the globe (Teen abstinence, 2011).The recent statistics show approximately 29 percent of women have abstained from any sex. In the identical age group, 27 percent of teen males have avoided and for teen girls only 7 percent have practised oral sex (Teen abstinence, 2011).Abstinence will be built on several factors. Teenagers should be encouraged to keep friends with good morals. Show me your friends and I will tell you who you are is a phrase that still holds. Peer pressure can be immense especially at teenage; therefore teens should be encouraged to associate with friends who will influence them positively (Teen abstinence, 2011).Further, if teens are involved with different school, church and community activities, they will be too busy to have sex. For this reason, teens should be encouraged to lead an active life, explore their talents and more activities to be established to create a very positive environment (Teen abstinence, 2011).Internet is known to have most adverse effects on teens, but there is a brighter side of it. It could play a great role in helping teens to abstain in that; many teens find a platform to communicate to their peers without having to meet physically. Spending a lot of time on the internet, and fewer meetings will reduce the teens engaging in sex (Teen abstinence, 2011).The role of parents is significant in helping their teens to abstain. Discussion about sex between parents and their children should start at the earliest age possible. Parents should continually talk to their teens about abstinence and more so ways of practising safe sex. Knowledge of cond om and birth control use to be imparted so that if abstinence proves impossible then the teenager will still be safe. Also, consistent education on sexually transmitted diseases and ways to protect themselves against forced sex is essential to be enacted (Teen abstinence, 2011).It takes both a male and a female to reproduce. Therefore, if both boys and girls are educated about sex, then the equation is fully addressed. According to researchers, teaching a boy child on pregnancy prevention is as important as conveying the message to the girls. The national campaign for pregnancy prevention shows that imparting sex education on male teenagers has borne fruits. States should make it a requirement to exhibit particular strategies towards prevention of teenage pregnancy. For instance, incorporating a male component to the community activities linked to sex awareness. This will help boys to understand they have control over unwanted pregnancies, and they need to take responsibility. More so, the male students will grow having learnt of responsible fatherhood (Farber, 2013).The number of boy teenagers involved in sexual activities has decreased by approximately three percent. However, there is a demand for continued education and extra effort on the parent's part. Further, more education to help teenagers understand the proper usage of contraceptives plays a great role in preventing teenage pregnancy (Coyle, et al., 2011).The risk of teenage pregnancy could also be reduced through parents being very open with their teenagers, sharing theirs beliefs about sex and even their experiences. Teenagers have several questions to ask about sex, love and relationships. They say the most trusted source to get those answers is from the parents. Therefore, parents should be open, honest and respectful when engaging in such conversations. The discussion between the parent and the teenage...
